Bone Idol Academy Launches In Response To Demand For Dog Grooming Qualifications.

From high-end Asian Fusion grooming to learning how to save your dog’s life, a Brighton-based dog business is on a mission to raise the standard of canine care around the country.

Currently anyone setting up as a professional dog groomer does not have to be qualified, and many people are looking at career changes as a result of Coronavirus.Helen Kirby Bone Idol Academy Director & Student

This of course brings about many problems, and customers are left in the dark about the quality of care and standard of groom that they can expect when they call in the professionals.

So in response to this, and to ensure that more people than ever are able to set up high quality grooming operations, successful Brighton groomers Bone Idol has set up the gold standard of training, a state-of-the-art school based in Blatchington Road, Hove.

Qualifications and Courses:

Bone Idol Academy will provide formal iPet Level 3 Qualifications in dog grooming, training, workshops and more.  The iPet syllabus provides practical, vocational training so groomers have the very best start to their careers.

Academy Director, Helen Kirby, said: “You can learn how to groom your own dog in one day or complete a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming & Salon Management in 33 days, plus everything in between.”

“We believe that a Level 3 should be the standard expected from any dog groomer. We have already received a high number of applications for our courses and can’t wait to open our doors.

A Fresh Start

Academy Director, Helen Kirby, said:“Coronavirus has made people really consider their futures, and many people are looking to start their own businesses for a fresh start.

“If that new start is in dog grooming, our courses can give you the high-quality skills that you need to really make a success of it.”

The Bone Idol Academy is a Training Provider Centre in its own right, and is overseen by Ofqual.

No matter what a trainee’s current skill level or end goal, the training courses on offer equip would-be doggy experts with all the skills they need.

There are also a range of shorter courses available for dog owners, including Dog First Aid, and Grooming Your Own Dog.
